Omnibus at ALBUM

Omnibus is supporting this year’s ALBUM theme of “Driving the customer experience” by helping conference delegates to identify areas where the company’s software can enhance their engagement with passengers.

The ALBUM theme of putting the customer first is also echoed by the Omnibus approach to its customers. Partnerships are developed in order to assist customers in obtaining the best out of the software, and new developments and bespoke features are shared with existing customers so that everyone benefits.

One of the latest developments is the improvement to the OmniDAS depot allocation system with the addition of the myDAS Touch driver’s app. Since its launch in 2015 it has been further developed, based on customer feedback. myDAS Touch is an integral part of the OmniDAS driver self-service myDAS module and links drivers directly with the depot allocation system via smart phone or other mobile device. The app means that allocation staff can communicate directly with drivers, even when they are not in the depot. Drivers and managers can share details of shift and route changes, offer and confirm overtime and shift swaps.

Omnibus developers have also created a new bus stop design system called OmniSTOPdesign which gives all types of operators and local authorities infinitely more freedom to create bespoke displays. It is already in use and customers are calling it an ‘evolution in bus stop design’ as it makes creating bus stop displays easier, faster and much more flexible. Users have total control over styles, fonts, graphics, colours and even paper size, giving the opportunity to fully incorporate any relevant branding.
