Meet the management team
Aiden Proctor
Prior to joining Omnibus in 2019, Aiden started his career as a bus scheduler with over 13 years’ experience gained in the transport industry. He enjoys using technology to support building improved and more efficient transport solutions. When Aiden is not working he is either out running or spending time with his young family.
David Lambert
Having spent 12 years in scheduling and operational roles for leading UK bus operators, David took a career break to go back to University to undertake a Computing degree, joining Omnibus in 1998 to oversee the IT. Currently learning to play the piano, David spends many weekends in the summer enjoying the North Yorkshire Moors.
Gary Hyman
With over 30 years’ experience in a range of business development roles, Gary has led sales and marketing teams for IT businesses large and small. When he’s not helping customers to solve their business problems, you’ll find him walking or cycling the country lanes and hills around Manchester.
Ian Churchill
With over 20 years experience of running software businesses, Ian played a key role in Omnibus joining the Velociti Group in February 2021 and is excited to be working with the team and our clients to deliver solutions which address clients business issues. Outside work, Ian enjoys spending time with his wife, two teenage sons, and whenever possible, his bike, which doesn’t know everything!
Marc Knott
Marc has a life-long interest in the transport industry, particularly passenger transport, and a proud- owner of a vintage bus. Passionate about service delivery and operational efficiency, his career has spanned over 30 years in transport, joining as a bus driver, and held numerous operational management roles in organisations ranging from small family run through to the major PLCs.
Olly Gough
Bus geek and problem solver, Olly has spent over 10 years (of her 14 years at EPM) in her spiritual home on the Service Desk supporting EPM and Omnibus clients with their queries. Away from work, Olly spends her time obsessing over rugby, despite being too old to play anymore! She is a self-proclaimed film nerd, who loves the sea and hanging out with her family.
Paul Smith
Over 30 years of experience in software development, specialising in computational software and optimisation algorithms. During his 15 years at Omnibus played a key role in driving efficiency for transport operators and manages the software development team. Outside of work Paul enjoys reading and has an unhealthy collection of books on mathematics and obscure algorithms.
Peter Crichton
Peter started his career as a trainee scheduler with Greater Manchester Transport, and has 40 years' experience in the passenger transport sector. He founded Omnibus in 1989 with the aim of helping schedulers produce workable schedules efficiently, which over 30 years on is still the case. In 2022, he was named Gold Winner of the Services to the Bus Industry Award for his timetabling and scheduling software. Peter owns two buses and enjoys performing in operettas.
Richard Yeo
Richard has been supporting and managing computerised bus timetable and schedules systems for 30 years having started his career in the bus industry as a scheduler. During his 20 years at Omnibus, he has been involved in all aspects of client account management, training and implementation. Away from work Richard enjoys spending time with his family, and as his son is autistic he takes an interest in research into this condition.
Steve Donhue
With almost 40 years’ experience in all aspects of bus service provision, specialising in network design and schedules, Steve has worked for bus operators, Local Authorities and Transport Consultants. Steve joined Omnibus in 2021. He has two grown-up children and outside work Steve and his partner have two rescue greyhounds who demand regular walks around various parts of the Cheshire countryside.
